The doctor will prescribe a skin cream if it is really bad. Otherwise use a 3-step skin care routine.
*Cleanse-Apply to cotton wool, and gently cleanse with upward movements. This will wipe away any remaining dirt, make-up or dry skin.
*Tone- Follow with a facial toner. Apply to cotton wool and proceed as the step before. This will clarify and refresh your skin.
*Moisturise-If you have dry skin, use a 'rich moisturiser' all year round, if you have oily skin, use a 'light moisturiser' in the summer, and a 'rich moisturiser' in the winter when the wind has harsh effects on your skin. Smooth gently onto your face using upward and outward movements.
Using this routine day and night will make your skin feel and appear cleaner, clearer and refreshed. It will reduce the amount of spots you have, and then you can use a spot cream if needed.
I highly recommend, 'SIMPLE'. There are a range of creams and lotion that are all natural ingredients.
-No Perfume, No colour
-Dermatological tested
Hope I Helped!! :D Good Luck

I have been using it for a long time now. I love it, it has made my acne disappear. I get a few here and there but that is normal. Most find it bad but it is amazing how things that do not work for others will work for me. That just shows how special I really am. :) Try it out, it is worth a try not everyone skin is the same and some need strong products to make the skin clear. Especially if you are in a environment exposed to smoke and smog. Good luck, I finally did.

Proactiv is really bad for your skin. It is drying and it actually BLEACHES the colour out of face cloths that you use to wipe your face with when you wash. If it can bleach colour from a cloth I can only imagine how much damage it does to your skin!

Proactiv bleached my pillows and towels, and helped for a little, but ended up making my face worse. I would not recommend.

I had problems with acne on the upper back until I was 30 and found a solution. Here are some suggestions:

Get yourself a product including Salicylic acid. This costs like 10€ in a pharmacy and will last you some time. Personally I apply this while showering on my upper back but you could also use it similiar to a face wash, depending in your problem zone.

Then get you a prescribtion for a product including Zinc acetate as a topical. (at least you need a prescribtion for this in Europe). You could add zinc as a supplement (pills).

If this is not working (and I promise it will). You would have to go for harder stuff like retinol creme.

Yeah I guess I had some acne I tried it once it got better never used it again but I guess it just got better by itself not because of proactive but if you have a lot of acne I guess it won't be bad trying it.

No! Same experience with the post above. I used it for 2 years and then it stopped working all of a sudden and my face broke out just as bad if not worse than before I start with Proactiv. Awful treatment option.

Seems like it's a mixed response for Proactiv. Most people saying it wasn't all that good. There are some proactiv solution reviews that might give you an idea. Only got an average rating so I think you can find something a little better instead.

I used proactive for two years and it was working but than it stops working!!! Your skin starts to break out worse. It was awful. Proactive just covers up your acne and  never really cures it. It clogs your pores with the medicine so your pores can't breath. Do not use Proactive!!! Try Bi-ore and a light moisturizing face lotion with spf 30. Also make sure you wash your makeup off before bed. I found that going to a Esthetician was really helpful because they will tell you what kind of skin you have and clean your face and suggest products that will work for your skin.

If you have REALLY bad acne that you can not get rid of, and your skin is oily, not sensitive, than yes. If your skin is anywhere normal or dry and sensitive, DO NOT GO NEAR.
