Hey, I
believe some great tips has been shared over here.

You can
also try:

  • Ice - It helps in
improving blood circulation to the affected area, and in freezing the skin
pores and removing dirt and oil accumulated on the skin. Just wrap it into
a bag or crush it and hold on affected skin for few seconds. Wait a few
    minutes and repeat the process.
  • Lemon - Use a fresh lemon
instead of bottled one as it contains vitamin C which helps to dry your
acne/pimples faster. Simply dip a clean cotton swab in fresh lemon juice
and apply it to the pimples before going to bed. If u don`t have sensitive
skin you can mix the lemon juice with cinnamon powder and apply to your
skin overnight. Also wash with lukewarm water next day in the morning.
  • Honey - Natural antibiotics,
    also helps prevent infections.
Again dip and clean cotton swab in honey, put it directly on the affected
area and leave it on for half an hour. Wash the skin well with lukewarm water.
  • Toothpaste - It is most
effective when used following the ice remedy. You must use white
toothpaste; avoid using gel toothpaste. What to do:
    • Apply some white toothpaste
over the affected skin area before going to bed.
    • In the morning, wash your
face with water and you will see a significant improvement in the
      swelling.

This can be repeated on daily basis, just make sure
it stays there for 30 minutes at least.

  • Steam - It will open your
pores and allow your skin to breathe. This helps get rid of oils, dirt and
bacteria trapped in the pores that can cause infection or inflammation.
What to do: Fill a large container with hot water and allow the steam to
come in contact with your face for a few minutes. Rinse your face with
lukewarm water and, after drying, apply an oil-free moisturizer.
  • Garlic - It well known as
remedy for tooth pain, but also antiviral, antifungal, antiseptic and
antioxidant agent that can help in the fast treatment of pimples. The
sulfur in garlic also promotes quick healing of pimples. Eating one raw
garlic clove daily can also help purify your blood.
So what to do and how to use garlic to get rid of your pimples.

    1. Cut a fresh garlic clove
      into two pieces.
    2. Rub the garlic on the
pimples and leave it for five minutes before washing the skin with
      lukewarm water.
    3. Repeat the treatment
      several times a day.

Those are
basically the most common types of try at home remedies which are having
temporary or small effect to your skin.

If you
looking for a good cream to use I would recommend one named
ClearPores. I have been personally using it and had great results with
it. For more information about it you can check it here.

Also
there is another solution that I had success with. Here is a great video that
will explain it better then me. You
can watch the video here.

Hope this
helps

Good Luck!

Soap is the best thing I have tried. I don't get acne per se, just a few really nasty spots once in a while that seem to appear in a cluster, lol. I have discovered that soap really dries them out. It's the best thing for me. I used toothpaste but it wasn't as good.

I think you should just constantly wash your face with soap day and night..Pick your hair up every once in a while and I think you can use Aveeno because to be honest Aveeno would probably be the only product that works coming from the TV

I had acne since  i was 10 until was 17. I've used ALL remedies, products and methods. Then the dr put me on Accutane for 6 months. It is very dangerous to go onto but I can promise you all your acne will clear up then.

Hey, I can imagine you have tried a lot of ways to get rid of your acne, whether through chemical or natural means, long-term or short-term means. I used to be like you where my acne just wouldn't go away which started right when I was going puberty. I can share with you some tips though on how to get rid of your acne fast using natural means:

- Try slicing a fresh lemon in half and rub it on the acne area and leave it over night. Rinse your face the next morning or  you can also squeeze the juice and mix it with rose water and apply to the acne area.

- Blend a cucumber into a paste and apply it on the acne area for around 30-45 minutes before washing it off.

There are many ways to cure your acne short-term and long-term. Now, I can share with you something that has actually helped me get rid of my acne permanently and hopefully it works for you too: Skintervention Guide

Good luck!

If you have Advil liquid gel capsules, you can take a pin and poke a hole in it.

Rub a small amounts of the gel on your face from the capsule and let it sit for 30 minutes-1 hour if you're not in a rush.

It will help the swelling go down.

Most of us struggle with acne, from the ages of 12 to even adult hood, including myself so I know EXACTLY what you're going through. Here are some of the methods and techniques I use to treat acne FAST:

  1. Slice a raw potato and apply to skin. Slice a raw potato in half and apply onto acne. Raw potato can heal as well as act an anti-inflammatory. Again, wash the residue off your skin gently with water after using.
  2. Use toothpaste for pimples. cover the pimple with toothpaste and leave it on overnight.

Like the previous poster said, "all skin is different," so you need to find out which solution works best for you. For more great tips check out: http://bit.ly/1lHB8V3

I dont believe what I am reading! Potatoes? Toothpaste? These tips are sure right on if you live in the last century.

Get yourself a product including Salicylic acid. This costs like 10€ in a pharmacy and will last you some time. Personally I apply this while showering on my upper back but you could also use it similiar to a face wash, depending in your problem zone.

Then get you a prescribtion for a product including Zinc acetate as a topical. (at least you need a prescribtion for this in Europe). You could add zinc as a supplement (pills).

If this is not working (and I promise it will). You would have to go for harder stuff like retinol creme.

The short answer is no, there's no quick way to 'cure' acne, but there are certainly lots of remedies you can try to help.

Acne most commonly occurs during puberty as a result of an increase in androgens (eg. Testosterone), therefore it is impossible to cure it externally as the hormonal effects will continue.

Treatments

The good news is that there are a variety of treatments available:

Medical

A popular medical treatment for acne is Benzoyl Peroxide. It is a topical cream which is applied to the affected area and helps to clear pores and reduce bacteria.

Acne can also be treated with antibiotics, although these are usually reserved for severe cases.

For women, hormone treatment in the form of the contraceptive pill can help to regulate hormone levels and reduce outbreaks.

Topical

There are various face washes that promise to help with the appearance of acne. Company magazine name ten of the best here. Many of these contain salicylic acid, which is thought to be proactive in the reduction of bacteria and cleaning pores.

Alternative

There are also non-chemical methods which may help. These include, Tea Tree oil, honey and even acupuncture, which some say helps with hormonal imbalance.
