NOPE NOPE NOPE. Try this, instead of trying different acne products, stick to the one you have. Buy some hand sanitizer. Even though its for you hands, it can be used on any part of your skin. Here's what you do.
After you wash your face, dry it then get the hand sanitizer and squeeze some in your hand then rub it in your hands but then rub it on your face. Make sure you don't get any in your eyes. This is what I have been doing and all my acne is controlled and I don't have any pimples on my face.
What I do is in the morning I do the steps above but during the day I just put some more hand sanitizer on my face. Then at night I take a shower and of course I wash my face in the shower. After I get out, I dry off and I put the hand sanitizer on and go to bed. It actually makes your skin soft and smooth. But, you may wake up and find that your face is oily, no problem because your getting ready to wash your face again. Believe me not many people know about this trick. Good luck and comment back to see if it worked on you just like it did on me! :)
Well pimples are tough because of everyone's skin type, if you are using soap on your face use a mild one drying it out could cause more problems neutrogena has several different types for different types of skins....washing with just warm water with a wash rag might be more helpful and rinsing with cool water. Also as hard as it is to believe if you dab a drop of honey on the spot at nite before retiring your pimple should be gone in a day or two..I was skeptical too but it does work and most everyone keeps this around the house and doesn't cost you an arm and a leg...getting out in the sun or maybe a trip or two to a tanning bed would help out complexion as well..good luck
I have used many face cleansers and not many work. Proactive, clean and clear, and clearasil ultra all have not worked. But recently, my mom has talked to the woman who does her nails and she vietnamese. Well, she uses this lotion from Vietnam that works really well. It's called Avi-O. It's a very small tube and all you do is put it on in the morning and before you go to bed and almost ALL of your acne will be gone in three days. It's amazing.
You should definitely wash your face at least once a day, if not twice and make sure you do so before you go to bed. If the cleansing product isn't working as well as you like, try something like Proactive or that new Neutrogena product that has been proven to clear up acne pretty quickly. I have also heard tell that if you have some type of blemish or pimple on your face and you'd like it to clear up quickly, use a hot rag and hold it on the problem area, then use rubbing alcohol to dab on it. The alcohol can dry up the area in no time at all.
In my opinion, it's not about how much you wash your face, it is using the right product for your skin type. I went to a dermatologist for my acne several years ago...she tried so many different treatments and they just made me irritated and red. I tried the drug store stuff and it just didn't work...made me really oily. The problem was I was over treating. I had oily skin to begin with and using the medicine would "dry it out" and cause more oil to be produced, causing more blocked pores and zits. I finally was talking to my sister and she convinced me to go to the Clinique makeup counter at the mall. They have so many different options to use on your skin. I got away from the acne products and started using their 3 step program to control oily skin...oh my god within a week my skin was almost clear, and after two the zits were completely gone, after three the skin smoothed out. In Connecticut the set costs about $60 but it lasts about 6 months. excellent stuff. I had to use it 2 times a day.
Leaving egg whites on your face for about 15 min when its completely dry take it off, youll feel it tighten when its in there it leave skin smoot too. Or baking soda and water to make a paste youll feel the tingling of it working, after you do either one of those wash with a soap but not too rough and pat dry with a clean towel.. Use an icepack to freeze the pimples an put a little sanitizer on it... Do this before you go to bed..... Make sure to not pop them no matter if you think you need to it makes them more red, if theyre still white in the morning then yes pop them but put tissue on your finger n clean the pimple right away to prevent bacteria...
The quickest way to clear up a pimple, is to dab on a little rubbing alcohol with a cotton swab, several times a day. This can produce results even in one day.
I had problems with acne on the upper back until I was 30 and found a solution. Here are some suggestions:
Get yourself a product including Salicylic acid. This costs like 10€ in a pharmacy and will last you some time. Personally I apply this while showering on my upper back but you could also use it similiar to a face wash, depending in your problem zone.
Then get you a prescribtion for a product including Zinc acetate as a topical. (at least you need a prescribtion for this in Europe). You could add zinc as a supplement (pills).
If this is not working (and I promise it will). You would have to go for harder stuff like retinol creme.
