Is Pus Supposed To Come Out When You Get Your Tongue Pierced?

This is normal, and those of you who say no! Take it out should really look into typical piercing info before assuming and ending up freaking the ppl out who ask these questions, pus does mean an infection but unless there is a lot with a significant amount of pain as well it is most likely the tongue trying to heal itself which is perfectly normal.

Yeah it is normal just as long as it is not pink, red, or green and painful because these are signs of an infection. If it if light yellow or dark yellow it is fine. Pus happens when the tongue is healing.also you will know if you have an infection. Your tongue will swell and you will be in A LOT of pain and your breath will smell extremely disgusting.it would compare to rotting meat.

Right about now I am so thankful I can read your question instead of having it  asked in person.  If you don't recognize signs concerning having an extra hole on your body, you did not do enough research before you go it. We are talking about your mouth dear, the place where you place food for it's first part of digestion.  See a Doctor fast.  A bit of water and peroxide or mouth wash should make it less painful for the nurse and doctor when you explain your visit.

Have you been following the right aftercare? Such as rinsing with salt solution twice a day and after you eat or smoke?If not you will have yourself an infected tongue piercing! Start taking care of it because even if you take it out now you'll trap the infection inside your tongue and that has serious complications for any body part let alone this part!

Doesn't sound good, I've had mine done and know others with it done and have never heard of that so best get it checked out ASAP or could cause serious problems if it is infected.

Mine is the exact same I got mine done wednesday and its now thursday,
I think its normal because mine doesnt hurt and I went to the doctor monday and she said it was fine.

Hun...it's infected...You need to go to a dr and if you are unable to get in you need to go to the ER cause Infected tongue piercings can be really really bad.

No! Absolutely not. I had mine pierced 8 years ago and it healed normally. Pus means infection. Take it out!
