Red hair color fades the fastest out of any other color. Unfortunately, it is also the hardest color to get rid of once it is in your hair. Since it fades so quickly, your blonde highlights will start to look orange-ish after a few washes. You can always use shampoo and conditioner with red pigment to help keep your red as true as it can be. The best I have come across is by bumble and bumble called "true red" shampoo and conditioner.
