Over-dyeing red hair can be tricky, especially if you only dyed your hair red recently. It’s not impossible, though!
You have several options:
Color Remover
Products like Colorfix and Colour B4 are designed to return your hair to the color it was before you originally dyed it.
I’m not sure how well they work, but they’re quite popular, so they're probably worth a try!
Dark Ash Brown
If you’re going to dye your hair brown, you need to make sure you choose a dark, ashy shade, or the red will show through and you’ll be left with a reddish-brown or auburn color.
Black
My sister dyed her hair red once, and several weeks later, she dyed over it in black. You couldn’t see the red at all, so this would definitely work!
Bleach
Obviously, bleaching isn’t very good for your hair – especially if you’re already in the habit of dyeing it a lot! You might even have to bleach it several times to get all of the color out.
Bleach makes your hair more porous, so if you choose to dye it again, more color will be absorbed.
Good luck!
