Where Can I Get My Cartilage Pierced?

I live in Dublin,Ireland. I'm 14 and a girl! Wanted my cartilage done and it took me ages to convince my mam to say yes!
So when she did we searched everywhere like claires and all th jewellers etc but claires wont do it till r 16 and I sure don't look 16! So we then went to georges arcade! Got it pierced with a gun 4 six euro! Th whole price for th piercing, another earring and a cleaning product was 10 euro! The gun did not hurt at all! Couldnt feel a thing! I heard all that bout a gun but I got my lobes pierced by a gun and they were fine..my cartilage defo ain't shattered and its not a tinsy bit sore...until I have to clean it! Ouch! Lol ! So I would go to either claires (if your over 16) Or like a tattoo parlour!

I have heard that the needle is the better way to get it done, it is cleaner and heals the fastest. You should get it done at a tatoo/piercing place because they know how to do it the best and they mostly use the needle.

My recommendation is to have a piercer do it in a piercings shop. Piercing needles are way safer and more sanitary than healing guns.

Helix [cartilage] piercings that are done by piercing guns usually get that "bump" of hypertrophic scarring b/c the earrings they use for guns don't allow enough room for swelling or for the piercings to breathe. And they're made w/ cheap metal. In the worst case, yes, they can also shatter your cartilage. Piercing guns use blunt force trauma to basically punch a hole in you.

Definitely don't get it pierced w/ a gun.
