It normally takes up to 12weeks to be completely healed, and the earring shouldn't be changed until its HEALED. B/c of the risk of being infected. It needs to be cleaned with the cleaner they should have given you when you were pierced. Don't bother it unless you are cleaning it. It will only aggravate it more. Sure, you can turn it a couple times a day, but don't sit and turn all day long. Keep your hair out of it. And only touch it with clean hands!

Well I got my cartilage pierced also in june and they told me that it takes about 4 weeks for it to heal if I dripped alcohol on it once a day and turned it once a day.  Well I did for about 2 weeks and then I started changing the earring.  So far it hasn't been infected and its going okay. =)

I had mine done a few weeks ago, it has been fine, no problems at all. It was silly of you to take it out so early on, if you were not sure if it's healed or not. Do not put peroxide on it, I have heard that it damages new tissues around the piercing hole. Use a salt solution or buy a special solution, often it is offered at the piercing place. Claire's also sell it.

With in 2 weeks how ever depending where along the cartilage you got pierced it could take up to bout 6 months for crusting to stop but to help speed it along pour sea salt and water mix on it then wait a lil bit then get in the shower

Thats so funny that same thing is happening to me, I'm going to be thirteen on thursday, what I do is just put peroxide ointment on it and kind of rub it around, I don't think that it will be a problem so, yeah I also sudjest washing it with soap, it helps

Try not to take it out, increases the risk of infection I've had mine done for about 2 years now and it still hurts if it gets cold! It took about 4 months to heal properly (taking it out and stuff).
Get your tragus done instead hurts a tiny bit more at the time but heals quick and looks amazing! It's my favourite one! :)

How long does it take for the swelling to go down after you get your tongue pierced?

You shouldn't put any kind of rubbing alcohol on it because the person who pierced my ear told me that if I did that it would get rid of the stuff that was already healing and the process of the healing would have to start all over again

I got mine pierced 2 days ago and it swelled up too... Not infected though I don't think. How long did it take yours to go down? It hurts so bad.

I had mine pierced about a week ago. I was told by the piercer at the tattoo shop to use bactine on it. This has worked really well along with turning it twice a day.

Ok   the age or whatever has nothing to do with it   ok   just wanted to point that out   because   no one really cares how old   are you .    What you Could use   is a Saline Solution      , Which you could   get at any   drug store   that's what I am using   & it works well . You could use this   for any piercings   .      Make sure you do not touch   it with dirty hands   bacteria can get in   & it   can get infected . Also ,   Keep    Your Hair   out of the way because      when untangling it   ,   it can be   kinda   painful ok .
Hope this helps [ :   BYEE
