French braids are easy once you know how. It helps if your hair is all the same length, but you can still try if it isn't!

- Begin by separating one lock of hair from the rest. You need to take it from wherever you want the French braid to start.
- Then split this lock into three evenly-sized separate strands - you can try using your fingers as a comb to separate the hair, but you'll probably end up with two large locks and a smaller one if you do it this way, so it's best to use an actual comb.
- Cross the right-hand strand over the left-hand one, and the left-hand one over the middle one.
- Take another section of hair from the right side of your head. Add this to the existing right-hand strand, then cross this over the middle one.
- Next, pick a section of hair from the left side of your head, and add it to the left-hand strand (you pretty much need to mirror what you just did with the right hand side).
- Repeat this until the braids are complete, and then secure the ends so that they stay in place.
