I am a man, I wore them when they sold them in men's sizes in the 1990's. I buy women's sizes now and wear them all over my home town and all over the country when I travel. They are lightweight kicks but not good for walking distance.
I too wear keds champion style. Nobody has so much as even given me a look.
Yes I believe it is ok to wear these kind of shoes. I don't see any harm in it. Why would it not be ok. If it is what they want to wear then by all means.
Yes, it's perfectly OK. I used to wear the men's till they stopped making them and my local shoe store told me to wear the women's instead. Always have worn them and never a single comment.
Why wouldn't it be if he is comfortable in a certain brand or type of course it is ok,as long as they are not his dress shoes,I know a man that wears nothing except hush puppies and I always say I hope they never go out of business during his life time.....

I'm not sure I would wear them,I'd have to try them on first. I've always known them to be a womans shoe though. And haven't seen too many if any men wearing them in 29 nine years of life. I've seen many men wearing the more rugged versions liked vans ,converse and sperrys., but not sure if I've seen keds.
