About once a month, I put a mixture of mouthwash and water on my hair for about 10 min. And then I shampoo my hair as normal. I always get compliments on my shiny, soft hair.

I use listerine every couple days because my scalp itches. It stops the itch and makes my hair silky smooth. I use shampoo before hand though to get all the hair oils out first and then I condition with regular conditioner. I've read a couple places that the normal (yellow) listerine can be used to treat lice, and dandruff as well.

I read somewhere that spraying your hair with a fourth of a cup of mouthwash and a cup of water makes your hair shiny so I guess that listerine would work!! But it said to avoid kid mouthwashes because they can be sticky.

I use listerine on my hair.  My scalp itches at times, especially in the summer time and I have dandruff.  I wash my hair w/regular shampoo and towel dry then pour cap fulls of listerine on my scalp until my entire scalp is saturated. Wring out the excess and put my hair up in a clip.  I do this before bed and the next morning rinse my hair.  The itching stops and my hair is so soft.
