I had a serious case of shingles on the right side of my face seven years ago or so. At the time I was dying my mustache because it had turned white. I had to quit using the dye at all because of the sensitivity of my face. Even now I can feel that were I to try it there'd be too much burning and itching. My face is still so sensitive I shaved my mustache off and have never grown it back. Your case of shingles may have been less severe or caught in time for proper treatment.

I have had two mild cases of shingles, one on my right shoulder and the other on my right side with just a few sores, the last bout was two years ago and now I want to get my hair colored again, my question is, do I need to use a special type of dye such as vegetable oil?
