Lumpy tattoos can be caused by an allergic reaction to the tattoo pigment, overexposure to sunlight which can cause swelling of scar tissue that may have formed during the creation of the tattoo. If you are prone to keloid formation it may be the result of over collagen formation as a result of the damage done to tissue while the tattoo gun made minute punctures to inject the tattoo pigment.
If it continues or gets worse consult you Dermatologist. Also consult HealthySkinAssociation.org for more information on possible reactions to tattoo pigments.
