Is Egg Yolk Good For Hair?

It seems that I am loosing more hair than usual and getting kinda thin on top...I have read that egg yolks may help with the shedding. So this past week I took 1 egg yolk and added a little olive oil to it, mixed it with a fork...then after my hair was totally wet ( with cool water in the shower) I began to apply the mixture to my hair a little at a time,  beginning on the top of my head and then working my way down to the ends. I massaged it in and left it on for a few minutes, then washed my hair with shampoo and then used cream rinse (again with cool water, because I read all over the place not to use too warm or hot or the eggs will cook on your head. (don't want that!)
I didn't notice any less hair falling out (yet, because I planned to use it again) but, I did notice that my hair looked fuller and what a shine!! Another surprising thing was there isn't  a product on the face of this earth that will stop my hair from getting frizzy in humid weather...well, this week was humid EVERYDAY and when I blew my hair dry, it was easier to manage (with NO products) and it looked so smooth, felt soft and didn't seem to get all frizzy when I went out in the humidity...it usually take 2 seconds for the frizzies to attack, but for sun odd reason, using that egg yolk the way I did, seemed to make a little difference. I wash my hair every other day and I did this treatment 3 times in a row...but, I think that might be too much...I read someone elses comment and they said it made their hair tangley...that happened to me too, so I think I will not use the egg yolk every time I wash my hair ...I will try just 1 time a week,,,,,but, I am loving the shine and how my thinning hair is looking fuller..my whole point in trying this is to hopefully stimulate new growth where all those hairs have fallen out..I am really scared I am going to go bald (I am a female and that would not be a good thing)
does anyone know if in time it will promote new growth?

Thankyou for any help...

Egg yolk is  wonderful. It needs to be applied on the scalp and hair and left for atleast 15 mints. Then wash your hair without shampoo, because this treatment by itself cleans the hair better than a shampoo. After rinsing the hair follow it up with  a conditioner. Finally rinse your hair with 1 mug of water to which 1 spoon of vinegar has been added. Towel dry your hair and then see how your hair shines.

yes but not just the yolk the whites as well.

My mom reckons in the old days you used to crack an egg onto someones head and rub it through.
It stinks and you have to make sure you wash it out before you go
outside as the sun cooks it and cooked egg is impossible to get out of
hair but after wards your hair will be silky and smooth.

And yes they r rich in protin and very good for hair

I am currently trying egg yolk mixed with castor oil for hair loss... I did try castor oil 2 weeks like every other day after I shaved my head, I think it made a difference, so now I'm trying it mixed with egg yolk because apparently it's suppose to help!

We will see in a few weeks, I plan on being consistent with this treatment while my hair is short and growing and easier to do this and easier to see results!
