Try using Mane n Tail shampoo, or a shampoo for fine hair. Those may help.

I read that emotion stress can also affect the hair. I hope this is not the case with you, because extreme nervousness appears to disrupt the proper flow of nutrients to the scalp. Many of the hair problems that people have can be attributed to their nerves. Diet can also affect your hair. A balanced diet that includes vegetables, fruits and not too many starches and sugars contributes to a healthy body and, in turn, healthy and perhaps thicker hair. And whether you are a woman or a man, you have good reasons to give your hair the care it deserves. A sensible diet along with regular brushing can do much to keep it in good condition.

I have the same problem as the person who asked the question, and I have fine hair, but, apart from CHD, I am healthy, and I was a little stressed with school, but not enough to be a problem. My mums side of the family has the same problem, so it's more of a genetic thing that anything else. Is there a way to make my hair appear thicker?

An important factor is to avoid chemical based shampoo,
conditioner and other styling products which can damage the hair growth. It is
not must to wash your hair every day because it can be harmful.Use a dry
shampoo to treat your hair in between washes.
Use essential oils to thicken your hair such as coconut oil or almond
oil which encourages hair growth. Treat your hair gently to avoid hair loss.

Foods that are rich in iron greatly helps in nourishing your hair, thereby making it stronger and thicker. Prefer protein, rich food, munch on a dates during free time. Dates are highly rich in iron. Regular hair wash is a must. Before going for a hair wash, apply some good amount of oil to your massage and gently massage. It'll be great if you can slightly warm up that oil, let it cool a lit bit and then apply it for your hair. These are few tips that my grandmother told me and it still works like crazy.

Also, stay away from using too many hair styling products on your hair. They'll definitely affect your hair. Hair roots might weaken. Use egg white (whole egg also) and olive oil pack for your hair. Don't expose your hair to dirt and pollution. Don't keep trying on too many shampoo products that are introduced in the market.

Shikakaai, a homemade hair wash powder is THE best choice for a healthier, stronger, darker and thicker hair. It is still used by many today, and who ever uses it owns dark and thick hair.
If you want thicker hair, first identify what stops your hair from growing thicker and stronger. Treat that issue and nothing can stop a healthier hair growth.

Now there are many cosmetics advertised to make hair grow faster and thicker. However, the best way to get a thicker hair is using natural ingredients which can easily found at home. Following these tips below will help you have a dreaming hair:

1. Aloe Vera: If you do not have time to apply it on the hair, you can choose to drink the juice made from Aloe Vera several times on a daily basis.

2. Olive Oil: You can apply olive oil directly on the hair and leave it there for 6-8 hours so that the hair can absorb the nutrients.

3. Coconut Oil:

4. Onion:

  • Crush an onion to make the juice.
  • Mix it with raw honey.
  • After that, apply the mixture on the hair 2-3 times per day. Then, you may give the scalp some minutes of massage.
