I want to dye my hair black once it grows out, but my mom won't allow it. Is 14 too young to dye your hair black?

If your mum says no, then your mum says no. Not much you can do until you move into your own place.

Personally, I would say your age doesn't have anything to do with  this here but more that many Parents hate what black or the Gothic look represents here and wont allow it as long as you live home. Gothic represents a bad cult that many dealt with years ago so you are up a lost cause here til you turn 18 and leave home, sorry so just go with the flow to avoid problems

Good luck

"Is 14 too young to dye your hair black?" It's too young until your mom says it isn't or you reach the age of 18.

Kind of a moot question since your mom won't allow it.

First, does your school dress code allow that? Second, It is a pretty drastic color and most people cannot pull it off. Third, your mom has her reasons and you need to discuss them with her in a rational manner.

Naturally black hair is striking and can be very beautiful. Dyed black hair is stark and never looks really attractive. Let it go for a few years till you have more experience and can make better judgements about hair colour.

If your mom says you're too young, then you are too young. She's the parent......case closed!
