Although there are methods that are proven to lighten the skin, such as fair creams, these creams are also linked to the causes of skin cancer and other epidermal ailments. This means you could be risking your life in order to alter your appearance.

The truth is, the concept of 'fair' being beautiful is just a facade that originates from times of colonialism when white supremacy was championed and ultimately became pervasively lauded.

But we are now living in a time where we are learning that all skin colours are beautiful, to accept ourselves the way we are and not feed into the illusion that any one skin colour is superior to another.

If you can reach a place where you are comfortable with yourself as you are, you will feel more beautiful than you have ever felt, and you will look it too. I hope this helps.
