My initial thought on nipple piercings is one of "No, thank you!" Having said that, there are positives and negatives of having your nipples pierced. Here's my list.
Positives- If you like piercings, having your nipples pierced could be an enjoyable experience. You'll probably love how they look after they've healed.
- Nipple piercings tend to increase sensitivity in the surrounding area, which would be an obvious sexual benefit.
- Nipple piercings are considered art by some people, and you'll always have something to talk about in awkward moments. "Hey, want to see my nipples?!"
Negatives
- Having your nipples pierced is going to be pretty painful for most people.
- The healing time of nipple piercings can be quite long They're certainly off limits in the bedroom for at least 6 months.
- Keeping nipple piercings clean as they heal can be quite tricky, and it's not uncommon to get an infection following a nipple piercing.
- You could be judged by people that aren't into piercings. If this affects you, nipple piercings probably aren't for you.
- They are likely to affect women negatively as they'll interfere with breast feeding.
- If you decide you don't like your nipple piercings, you may be left with a scar for a fair few years. Some people claim that nipple piercings make your nipples change shape.
In short, nipple piercings are great for people who are fond of piercings and want to be a little adventurous. As with all piercings, if you're not sure you actually want them, it's probably best to not bother.
