Try looking at thrift shops. The stuff there are cheap and usually in good condition, but occasionally you will stumble on something really nice. You just need to be persistent at it. You can also go to stores like TJ Max and Burlington. They have a lot of designer things for less.
When going to a clothing store, look through the things on sale or on clearance. Most of these are usually "out of style", but they're still cute. Unless you're a major fashionista or your friends are, no one would notice that your clothing was "so last season."
You can even go to garage/yard sales, especially moving sales! Usually you can bargain with the seller and get a good deal on several great items.
Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of coupons for clothing. But you can save up money by finding coupons in the newspaper or magazines or even recycling bins of other products you buy like beauty supplies, personal hygiene products, and food. The money you save from the things you usually buy can be used to buy clothes.
