Bear in mind that at 11 years old you are still growing. Having a tattoo now means as you grow your skin also grows and the result could be that your tat looks faded or even distorted. A great idea to remember your Dad but I'd wait a few years. You can get temporary tattoos which can last for a week or a month.Could be worth checking out first. This would also give you a chance to get used to it and also try out different designs.

You can't have a tattoo when your 11 evan if your guardian gives you permission. You have to be at least 16.

Wait sweetie and save your money and pay for a good tattoo from a reputable artist. Good ones cost a bundle and most really good ones won't even touch you for under $200.00 so remember when you decide to get one to research artists all over for the best and be prepared for it to cost you a pretty penny. If you get one in a few years and pay like $50 for it you will regret it later.

I understand that this tattoo will mean a lot to you and I respect you for making such a good choice at such a young age. Most children your age will want some boys name or a flower or something. I give you props for choosing something that actually has meaning to you. I apologize for your loss as well. If I were you though I'd wait until you were 18. You'll be legal and more mature. And just like User Unclederek said You're young and still growing...wait a while until you get the tattoo. And research the best artist just don't settle for someone just because they provide cheap prices. Remember when you get a tattoo you really get what you pay for. Hope all this helps.
