Underarm hair can be difficult to remove effectively at home. It is possible to have this done professionally at a beauty salon, through a wax treatment, but not all women feel comfortable having this treatment.
If you are considering a home treatment wax for the underarm area, you need to be quite skilled in waxing or the results may be somewhat disappointing (as well as painful).
Shaving is another option, but when you shave you are actually cutting off the hairs where they protrude from the skin and so they grow back stronger and thicker than before. This means you have to shave more often.
The easiest way may be to use a hair removal cream, of which there are many on the market, usually at a competitive price. You could also try treating the skin with a 'hair retardant' product after using the cream, to delay the hair from growing back.

Shaving underarm hair is the simplest method to remove underarm hair. You can use an electric razor to shave in the direction of hair growth. This method is cheap and convenient. However, shaving underarm hair must be done regularly since shaving would strength the hair growth and your hair would grow back within several days. You can also have your underarm hair removed permanently.

Shave - preferably don't use shaving cream which can cause bad reactions - otherwise shaving is safe. . .

Wet your armpits with warm water. The process of shaving will go more smoothly if your skin is soft, supple and warm. Either shave in the shower or get your armpits wet with warm water before you begin.

  • If you tend to get ingrown hairs, exfoliate your skin with a body scrub, too.[1]
  • If you have very sensitive skin, do the process at night to give your skin chance to rest overnight.
