If I Am A Girl And Want To Get My Nose Pierced What Side Of The Nose Should I Pierce?

I had mine pierced about 8 years ago.  I asked the man doing the piercing what the meaning of the sides were.  He told me, if you have a preference...get the side you want it on.  If you don't have a preference, then people like to be a human compass, getting the right nostril to represent living on the west coast, and the left side represent living on the east coast. Since I live in California, I opted for the right side.  But both sides look nice, and I think the left side is much more common.

If you must get the nose pierced, it sounds like you are going at it in a sensible way. Get several opinions after using the [glue on little jewels], on each side. If you have an uneven face, and most of us have some differences from side to side, you may want to draw attention to one side or the other.

I say right side and this is why.. I am right handed and so I tend to sit to the left of people so that they are on my right side.. So I got mine on the right so that people will be able to see it. Also I sleep on my left side and I wouldn't want a left sided nose piercing to catch on my pillow. One more thing.. When I kiss my boyfriend the left side of our noses touch.. Wouldn't want a left sided nose piercing scratching his nose and pulling on mine ;) that would be painful for both parties.

Well I have the same situation I don't know wether to get it done on the left or right. But I have came to the decision that I'm going to get it done on the right because I have a piercing on the cartilage on my left side. So I'm getting my nose pierced on the right just to even it out:/ and because my bangs also go to the left.

Just whatever side you feel it looks best on. I don't believe there's any certain meaning to whatever side it is on.

I have seen most women piercing their nose on the left. So you can do the same.

Well most have it on the opposite side of their bangs, so it shows.
I've had mine done since freshman year if high school.
I have it on the right but either way when I flip my bangs it still looks good.

I have mine done on the left, but I know people who have it on the right and it looks good that way too. Like a few people have said there is no "right way." Do whatever looks good with your face.

I'm thinking about getting mine done, and I want it on the left side because when I was born, my left eye had a loose muscle, and I'm going to have surgery, I just want to remember what I was born with. You should choose a side that has meaning to you. If you have any impurities on one side of your face and your getting it removed or changed, you should choose that side. Or if you always kiss your boyfriend one way, choose that side because it is special.

I have never heard a certain side for gender. I really like the look, but I do caution you. Any time you pierce your skin, you are taking a chance of getting an infection. Please make sure who ever does your nose is qualified and has a certificated to fall back on, and give you instructions for care until it heals. Also find out the size of stud you will be able to use. I would remove it while sleeping for fear of the stud backing coming off and traveling down you throat or worse. Please enjoy your stud look but be very careful.

I Got Mine Done On The Right And I Think It Looks Pretty Good, I Agree Getting It Done On The side that makes everything evened out. I have my bangs on my left and also a lip piercing on the left :) but whichever you like, don't go on things on the internet because you're going to have to have it not them!

I'm getting mine done on march 22 but I'm not sure what side some ppl say your gay if you get it on your right and I heard sum say it about the left so that left me more confused but many off my friends hav it on the left and well I think it looks better on the left so you I would go wit left

Well, I have recently pierced my own nose (DO NOT DO) and it has gotten infected. The point I'm trying to get at is that ive already had mine done on the left. So whatever side youre comfortable with, go for it! Remeber, it will only hurt for about 2 seconds. But hey, isn't the pain worth it for something that you choose to last for a day or a lifetime?

You can pierced your left side of the nose.

It all based on your preference. I got mine done yesterday and I got it on the left. Personally, mine looks a bit odd on the left. Test out what side you want your peircing on by using fake jewels or something.

I have mine pierced on the right side. most girls have it on the right side.

I think you should pierce it on the left because most people have it done on the right and it is always nice to be unique.

Mostly right side pierce looks more traditional and left side looks trendy. Choose according to your way of styling.

I'm having the same problem!! Both of the sides look good I don't know what to do! My bangs are on my left side and I'm right handed just adding.

Well I got told you are supposed to have it on the opposite side in which your fringe goes, I don't know everyone says different but I think it would be too full on with it on the same side as your fringe is on.

Well, my dad said  I could get it done for christmas lastyear, but it was Basketball season.. Soo, I'm gunna ask if I can get it done now. :D 6 months later.... Lol :)

The nose piercing is very common in young. Mostly right side of the nose is pierced. In India and Pakistan, it is their tradition to pierce right side of the nose. If you wanted to be distinct from others then go for on left side.

Most girls get it on the opposite side of their bangs. So if your bangs fall to the left, they get it on the right. If your bangs fall to the right, you get it on the left.

FYI: A very good friend of mine who moved here a few years ago told me after I had gotten mine pierced that having it pierced on the right side of the nose means you are the equivalent of a prostitute. That the piercing originated in India and is still used today auspiciously and for ayurvedic purposes I was inclined to listen to her.
