Scanning the internet comes up with hundreds of people asking the same question. Mo’Nique wore a blue, Pucci-inspired dress when she was interviewed on the Oprah Show but unfortunately nobody seems to know who the dress’ designer is. Mo’Nique did wear a blue dress again to the Oscars that was a cobalt blue Tadashi gown that was worn as a tribute to Hattie McDaniel.

Mo’Nique is an American actress and comedienne who rose to fame in the UPN series ‘The Parkers’, alongside trying to break into the stand-up comedy scene. Until then she had been working as a phone sex operator and only quit when her brother dared her to go to an open mic night. Since, she has built up an extensive filmography with roles ranging from voices for the cartoon ‘The Rugrats’ to hosting her own chat show. Mo’Nique won critical acclaim with her role as villainous and abusive mother Mary Lee Johnston in the film Precious. The performance won her countless awards and she became critically acclaimed. Her awards included an Oscar and a Sundance Film Festival Special Jury Prize. She was titles as Time magazine’s ‘Best Female Performance of 2009’ and was the recipient of the first-ever unanimous vote from the African-American Film Critics Association for Best Supporting Actress.

Since the success of her performance in Precious, Mo’Nique has been reported to appear in a big screen adaption of J. Eric’s novel ‘A Place in Heaven’ alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. She is currently hosting her own talk show ‘The Mo’Nique Show’ making her the first African-American woman to host her own late-night show. Her personal life has been in the media recently after her brother admitted on the Oprah show that he sexually abused her when she was younger and now faces 12 years in prison.
