That depends on the type of perm you get. But usually from washing your hair you strip any of the dirty buildup and make your hair sore which is not good when getting a perm. This can cause hair loss or even scalp burns. To sum it you should wait no less than 72 hours.

You should have waited to perm your hair first and then washed it, so wait for your hair to dry and then go have it permed.
