I should take a shower once per day, as we have to clean  ourselves everyday. If not, we can have a smell

Nearly every  day. Saturday is church day so showers are a definite, but Sundays are slower and I've noticed that I skip it most on this day.

I take one every other day just because I don't smell and my hair does better when I wash it every other day. If your hair can stand every two days and you have to take a shower but not wash your hair then take a bath or shower and just don't wash your hair.

Once a month, if you need it or not.

That depends on your lifestyle and where you live.  I live where it is hot and humid right now and just walking to the mailbox makes you all sweaty and gross. I have lived in drier and cooler places and if I didn't do anything to get dirty I could skip a day. I would still wash up, just not shower.

As one of 13 children my mother and her siblings got in the large washtub in the family room one after the other every Sunday night. My mother was a smart girl, she offered to tote the water to fill up the washtub kettle by kettle as they warmed up on the coal stove in the kitchen.  Her deal to tote the water was paid by getting the first bath. There was no bathrooms then, just an outhouse. And many kids to scrub. They reused the water for each kid down the line.

There was an old saying " don't throw the baby out with the bath water" which referred to the bathing method of the old days. Usually because being the youngest, the baby of the family got the last bath before the bath water was thrown out. These days enjoy your shower or bath as often as you can, preferably before a week has gone by like in the old days, before you smell.
