How much do tattoos hurt? Particularly on the ankle, shoulder, lower back and inner wrist?

That really depends on your pain threshold....everyones is different. I have two, one on my chest which wasn't bad, and one that I got recently that runs down the back of my neck...That one hurt a little more. I plan on one more that Rooster will be designing for me, and that one I plan to put on the top of my foot wrapping around to my ankle....my bet is that one's gonna hurt! Owie!

It really is something that differs for everyone. I only have tattoos on my upper arm, and that wasn't too painful at all.

I've heard complains about anything around the elbow area, and it seems that the close to bone, the more painful it can be.

Based on this, I imagine an ankle tattoo is going to sting a little.

Having said that, my girlfriend had a tattoo on her inner wrist and she gives it a 4/10 pain rating.
