Can someone advise me on how to cover up a tattoo on the back of my neck and my wrists? I'm going to my fiance's dinner dance at work and meeting his boss, and I don't want to look like a "biker chick".

If you are looking to cover up or disguise a tattoo, the best thing to do would be to find a high-coverage concealer. A couple of brands which offer a suitable product would be Cover FX and MAC.

Concealers I recommend using

Cover FX cosmetics are widely used to cover scarring and severe blemishes on the skin, and are just as useful for hiding tattoos. The products also contain natural minerals and are actually beneficial for the skin!

MAC is a very popular cosmetic brand used all over: from high fashion photography shoots and the catwalk, through to the high street. They offer a very wide range of foundations and concealers so it would be very easy to find one to suit your needs.

The celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D has her own make up range which also contains a tattoo-cover up concealer, so I guess it'd make sense to check that out too.

When applying any concealer, I'd recommend using a primer underneath because it creates an even finish before you begin applying concealer.

It'll also help prolong the wear of the concealer.

You could try a Cosmetics Airbrush Makeup product, but remember: any product can be harmful for you if it doesn't agree with your skin.

So, before using any product you might want to search online for any known side-effects, or consult a skin specialist.

If you're pressed for time, just wear an outfit that will hide the tattoos for you!

A lot of tattoo artists have cover-ups that they can apply as a temporary cover for tattoos that look more earthy or risqué than girls should have. Failing that, you could wear chunky bracelets on your wrists like I do to cover up my tattoos and a high necked outfit to hide the back of your neck.

I would say that if you don't want to look like a biker chick, don't wear leather chaps and a tube top. Just kidding! But you may be able to just cover it with clothing and/or jewelry. Are the wrist tattoes on the inside of your arm? Watches cover up wrist tattoes pretty well. There are some very cool necklaces that look like a cute "peter-pan" style collar from a dress. Try a combination of covering with makeup and accessories perhaps? Those tattoo cover up concealers don't really work all that well for everyone, and they are a bit expensive.
