Can Vans go in the wash?

I wash my Vans in the washing machine and they turn out fine.

Here's some tips:

1. Use stain remover before they go in the wash
2. Stick the Vans in the wash with some towels
3. Keep it on gentle wash, with a moderate temperature (doesn't need to be cold wash - but nothing too hot either)
