NO!! There's a special product at the drug store for head lice and eggs(nits). The package also includes a comb to use to comb the eggs out of the hair. You will also be advised to wash sheets, towels, any bedding you can, and clothing, with bleach (or a color safe bleach) and HOT water (for the bedding and towels.)
My hair is bleached on top and black underneath. My best friend has 2 small children and each time they have been infested, my boyfriend and I end up with lice. :[ He and I both have long hair, and we couldn't get the lice killing shampoo to get rid of the lice, even with combing. When I dyed my hair black, and bleached the top, my lice was GONE. Any nits I had we combed out dead soon after. Mayonnaise works as well, but if you wouldn't mind a new look, just dye it.
No unfortunately not, I always thought it did, but I was wrong, you have to go through the whole process of going to the pharmacy buying the product come home put it on your hair wait 10-15 minutes then comb it out with special comb, until you cannot see anymore then wash hair.
Yeah it does because I had them last year died my hair and BAM they were gone but then a friend slept at mine who had nits ! And I used hair dye and got rid of them :D
Do not consider using bleach to kill head lice, as it could damage your skin and scalp. Any chemists (in UK) or drugstore (US), or grocery store will have boxes of special shampoo that has a chemical in it to kill head lice. You can and often should use some of it in the shower on your body as well. You do not have to have a prescription to buy this. Another thing that you can do, if you want to, is to get a permanent on your hair. Permanents will kill the head lice. If the lice has been there a while you will need to use the comb in the box to comb through the hair to get the nits out. If there is a method of using bleach on your hair, I would think that it would discolor your hair, and not in a good way.
If I dye my hair will it color the eggs too? To make them unnoticable not seen. I want to get my hair cut but I don't want the stylist to see them I want to cut it so I can treat my hair better. Please help me. Color dye will probably be like a burgundy color or brownish reddish one
I'm not sure if it kills them or runs them off, but I do know several people who have said that when they get exposed to lice, they color their hair and haven't had an outbreak. It might sufferant them, it is pretty potent.
I think so because there chemical in it.. That can work.. L'oreal hair colour make hair softer then you can get rid of them quickly.. Try it and I suggest you to do brushing more often and wash hair with good shampoo and conditioner atleast 3 times weekly..
