I used to use a straight razor if I wanted a really good shave but have used the disposables also. Some were nice and others were junk. I finally joined Harry's Razor club and have never been happier. Great blades that last and a great price. You can't beat them. Plus they mail you replacement blades as you need them. Take a look, you just might like them.  Www.harrys.com

I use a Gillette Fusion. It has replaceable blade cartridges. I have a beard and only have to shave my lower neck and upper cheeks so a blade cartridge lasts me a loooooong time.

I belong to a shave club that provides four blade cartridges a month for $6.00 including shipping.  They work great, I shave dry (no shaving cream, or pre shave lubricant, no aftershave).  When I'm done with my shave I use a can of compressed air to blow the triple blades clean.  Works good, and makes the blades last longer!  I used to joke that shaving dry putting me in the right frame of mind to handle my day!

Never thought about using the compressed air---and I just happen to have a can in the bathroom. [I use it for the occasional small actinic keratosis that I don't need a dermatologist to freeze. Be sure you know what you are doing if you try that everybody.]

Nice tip.

I used to dry shave occasionally, but only when needing a "touch-up." Not my favorite thing to do if I expect to be doing any sweating.

I shave infrequently since I don't have much facial hair--when I do I use this Gillette razor with disposable cartridges.
