Baby soap is meant for babies as their skin is very delicate and they do not sustain harsh soap contents. At age 20, your skin is quite mature now and needs proper care and the baby soap you are using is not beneficial for you. You need to go for Aroma body soaps or some other body soaps that contain vitamin E, moisture etc., to nourish your skin.
Hi. I'm 20 years old and I'm using Johnson Baby Soap...Is it good? Are there any disadvantages of using that soap? Please let me know.
There are no big disadvantages when it comes to using baby soap for you skin. It is aimed at delicate types of skin and should not include harmful substances. However, I think that the problem here might be the product.
Johnson & Johnson's products are known for containing harmful substances. Fragrances, chemicals, and a substance called formaldehyde seem to be correlated with skin problems (other people sustain that the latter might be correlated to cancer). In effect, after complaints, Johnson & Johnson are planning to reformulate their products to include less harmful substances. Here is more about it if you want to read the article. Here is also a list of some of its components with a bit of informations and possible alternatives.I think that it would be better to use more natural products. It doesn't mean you have to spend tons of money, but at least to look at a bit of the ingredients and look for something more natural to take care of your skin.
Also, depending on your skin type you might look for something that can be more fit to your type of skin! Baby products are good but once you hit a certain age you might start to use other products that could take better care of your skin, like natural essential oils and similar.
Here is also another question that was answered, regarding a Johnson & Johnson product.
Hope this helps!
