This is a rip-off city!!! - Do not order - you will be sorry. I ordered from the site on 01/07/10 - received a confirmation e-mail that the product would be shipped within 3-5 days. I received a notice to pick up the package on 01/12, and actually picked up the package on 01/13. The watch didn't work! - I was out of town on business for a few days and then found the charge on my bank account on the 21st. I immediately called and they informed me of the 14 day trial period - but what they stressed was from the order date. The free trial should have been from the time I receive the product, not from the order date. If this was a legitimate offer, and if these people had any ethics at all, they would honor the consumer's request to cancel any and all further shipments. This is a scam for sure - there are people out there who are pirhana's and they don't care - all they want is the $88.99 per month - I am strongly considering cancelling my bank account and re-opening another account - so they can't do this to me anymore! - Why should I trust them to cancel my membership - of which I was unaware at all. I know everyone says to read the fine print, but the problem is they emblazon the offer with large text and print out the fine details in minuscule print. Stay away from these people or leeches.....whatever you want to call them!

Yes!  I relieved an unsolicited offering to test a Watch and pay $1.00 plus shipping.  I was willing to do this but after I typed in my information, including Credit Card info., I was directed to a page to "continue".  There, was another and unwanted offer.  Seeing this I "cancelled" the entire interest.  This was Dec. 4.  On Dec. 7 I relieved the watch  on Dec. 8 charges were shown  on my credit card account of $l.00, 5.99, from Geneva, and two charges of $6.00 and $19.99 and I have no idea what these charges represent.  My call to a representative of Geneva advised me yesterday that the "subscription" would be cancelled and gave me a return number to put with the watch and return.  I never relieved the e-mail, as promised, and I called again today and spoke with different representative who promised to send the e-mail.

I ordered the promotion and when I received it in I went to webb site to see additional terms and immediatly called for a RMA and returned it, now they are trying to say they never got and billing my credit card. I think if there are enough of us we need to do a class action law suit.

I basically had the same expierience, I gave them my credit card information to pay for the "Promotional" offer. I was not aware that I had signed up to pay $88.90 for the free watch. Yesterday I called them and was told I would recieve an e-mail instructing me how to cancel. That e-mail has not arrived as of Wednesday morning. This offer is a scam.

Hello all,
As the person above me stated, if you read the terms and conditions, it does actually say you will be billed unless you cancel your trial. I ordered a watch, received it within a few days, and when I decided that the watch was not for me, I gave the customer support number a call. They said they would send me a "RMA" number via email. I never got the email, so I gave them a call and they explained that it may have been due to my spam (junk mail) settings, and issued me a "RMA" right over the phone. I sent the package back, and received a full refund for the trial (a total of $5.99) just yesterday.
Also, you'll notice that the check box that you're required to check to agree to the terms and conditions actually mentions the amount of $88.98. "I agree to the Terms and Conditions and enrollment in the Auto-Ship program at $88.98/mo."

Yes it is, becareful if it is not late already.  Below is my email to the con artist:
I want to cancel whatever order and membership that I have with you.  I never knew that I am a member or ordered any watch for full price from you.  I simply answered some survey questions from my bank and was supposed to get this watch for $1 plus 4.99 S&H.  You ripped me off about $100 dollars so far for a watch which does not work and that should be enough for you and it was an expensive lesson for me.  Do not send me anything else anymore and I do not want to have anything to do with you.  But, I have to give credit to whomever came up with this scam,  obviously, according to web site, you have managed to rip off a lot of people and nobody has been able to do anything about it.

I, like so many others here, was told I "won" a watch while on another site (HGTV) and "assumed" (my mistake) since we were entering the Dream Home give-away, that it was part of that.  No terms of agreement as to the monthly charge, just the shipping charge.  I have had at least 4 phone calls from other parties trying to get me to join some monthly thing about protecting my credit, free restaurant gift cards and other fun stuff.  I have declined all of these.  I received NO paperwork with the watch, just the watch in a cheap box.  I have now contacted Mygevenawatch and was to get a cancellation number, still haven't received that, and have a complaint into my credit card's fraud division.  If I have to, I will cancel my credit card and have them reissue another number.  This is a very dishonest practice, and doesn't always come with the terms and agreement clause so you know what you are getting into.  By the way, no, the watch doesn't work either.

I also foolishly responded to a pop up stateing that I had won a watch all that was required is $5.00 shipping. The $5.00 was taken from my account, shortly thereafter an additional $89.00.This resulted in many bank fees and penalties. Webster bank will accept no responsibilities for any of this, and no cooperation in resolving the matter.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID ANYTHING TO DO WITH, GENEVA WATCH, WEBSTER BANK, AND THIS OBVIOUS SCAM.

Yes and no -  it is not made clear on their webpage  (which is unsavory business behavior)  but it is made VERY clear in the terms and conditions what you are getting into:
When you place your order today with www.mygenevawatch.com you will automatically become a part of our customer club in which you will receive a watch to try for 14 days. Please note, the 14 day trial period includes shipping and transit time. If you order the product today, 12/23/2009, you will need to cancel by 1/6/2010 to avoid being charged. Your credit card will be billed between $1.99 and $4.99 depending on the options selected for the shipping of your 14 day trial shipment. If you are satisfied with Geneva Watch and wish to continue to receive a new watch on a monthly basis, you need do nothing else. Upon the expiration of the trial period, your credit card will be billed the members only price of $88.98 for the full cost of the watch that you ordered. On approximately the thirtieth day following the date you first ordered Geneva Watch and every thirty days thereafter, we will send you another watch from our collection, and the credit card you provided to us will be automatically billed $88.98 for this new product.
There is more :www.mygenevawatch.com purchase anything on the internet without thoroughly reading and understanding the terms and conditions and if the offer seems to good to be true. . . It probably is!

YES YES YES IT IS A TOTAL SCAM.  They make it impossible to get in touch with them to cancel, they give an email address that does not have a "contact us" feature.  And more than that, they lead you to believe that this is just a free gift without any obligation at all except the postage of $5 something.  Then when you call the number they give you to call inorder to cancel, the recording telling you what to do to cancel (that bogus website) just continues to repeat itself over and over and no one answeres the phone.  So frustrating...infurriating. If you fall victim to this scam....just do not accept the package, put on the box....will not accept/return to sender.  You may not get your $5 something  back, but keep trying to cancel and report to your bank who will inturn contact Visa (or whatever card you used) and they don't like that....you will get a refund!  Oh, and they may try to send you a certified package after you have returned it, just write refused/do not send again on the paper given to you by the mail man and hopefully that will prevent them from sending it back!  It is a horrible scam.  Hope those scammers burn in hell!

I filled out a survey and they told me I had won the watch but when I got my credit card statement they had charged me one dollar plus 89.99  when I called them I said I was returning the watch and they told me they would not return my money. There should be a way to prosecute them

Yes.  They will charge $1 for a "watch", plus shipping.
If you do not cancel they will bill your charge card $88+ for membership fees.
Membership is for a watch a month.
You have to contact them to cancel membership with a certain period.
The warnings are, never buy watches from the Internet.

YES! I was sent the watch but not the one advertised on site. It didnt work. Now they are billing  charges on my card  .  The bank is crediting my account and I have reported them to bank fraud division.  That poor person who got billed  1.00  4.99  19.99 then 89.99  so sorry   that people can't go out and work for a living--they have to prey on others. SHAME  ON THEM!!

You people need to stop blaming EVERYONE else but yourselves.  The terms and conditions on that site could not be any clearer than they already are.  I received the ad in my email, actually took the 2 minutes to read the terms and conditions, ordered, received it (very quickly I might add, the product was at my door 2 days later) and am enjoying my watch.  The product keeps time as good as some of my other more expensive watches and is a great value.  Although I don't want to receive it every month, I called customer support and and they canceled my membership plan.

This is a scam!!!  I repeatedly told  them I am not interested in their "subscription". I paid them for the watch as advertised at $5.99.  But just checked my checking account and found an additional charge of $88.99!  When I called the phone number on my bank statement no one answered the phone and I was directed to go to the website with billing questions.

Yes, I believe it is.  My account was charged the $88.99 today which is way early.  My bank told me the charge had to go through in order for them to tract it.  It certainly was not my intention to purchase the watch for the amount charged.

I did not miss the terms and conditions, I read them but I think I just expected it to be better. The first watch I received worked but it was very ugly. The second watch did not work. I have been attempting to contact the company for a month and have had no response. The service number listed in the terms just rings busy.

What a rip off, never again!

They are for sure a scam. It popped up that I won the watch.  All I had to do is pay for the shipping.  Then I got an additional charge for $88.99 put on my credit card for the watch.  Now you tell me...  Is this a scam?  YES it is.

Its a scam alright. The watch is a knock off cheap and did not work. This was replaced within 15 days and the strap  looked so weak as the links were bent and before I could slip it over my wrist it snapped . I decided to forget about it as it was only $6.00. The next thing I know  my card was billed for $89.99. I have logged complaints with the bank , credit card company and am in the process of lodging a complaint with the local fbi office. Just imagine for every 1000 people scammed the guys make 100 grand. I'am also sure that I did not see any terms and conditions as the ad. Said promotion watches for only $1.00 plus shipping and handling $4.99 thats all.

You bet it is a scam.  I too had this tasty morsel come across my emails in an unsolicited manner. When I canceled, the transaction went through and I suddenly received the watch in the mail, with a "freebie" pair of sunglasses. All that was in the package was a 1/4 slip of paper with the $4.99 + $1.00 14-day trial charges mentioned...no name, no company info, no dates, no billing info, none of MY info, NOTHING!  I was greatful there was a phone number and a website!  I tried to call them, but they are only open 6-6 so e-mail the hell out of them to get what you want!

I also fell for this scam when I put an order this morning. I already have canceled my membership and I received an email with an RMA number but the person on customer care says that the package has been auto shipped already. I am planning to send the package as soon as I receive it. After reading all the comments above I am confused as some people are saying that there is no address to return the parcel back and some are saying that they had returned it back and got refunded. Please tell me if the package has a return address on it or not. Also do I have to pay for the shipping charges when I am going to return the package back to these suckers.
Also is cancellation of credit card a good option ??

Hi, I need to report about a watch I was missed informed about also. The price was stated for $1 and $4.99 for shipping. I was sent the watch and was further charged $88.98 for it. I cancelled with Geneva watch and I want to send it back and I also want my credit card credited back with the full amount. I was further charged for magazines, club and other company that Geneva watch gave my information to . I have cancelled with some and as soon as did this there were other company charging me. I want all this to stop, when I called I was told I have to get some authorization number before I can send watch back. I think this company is a scam and needs to be investigated. I WANT MY MONEY BACK IMMEDIATELY!

Mygenevawatch is a total SCAM.  I fell for their SCAM, received my statement too late to return a
watch that was not worth a dollar.  It was rusted, but I thought for $5.99 I wouldn't  bother with it, that is until I received my bill and was charged and additional $88.99.  Tried to contact them, got 'support services' which was a joke.  A TOTAL SCAM.  Wish there is some way to stop this.

I was told I needed to read the terms on the watch and I never got any terms. It came up when I was under publishers clearing house so I thought I had won a watch under PCH. I never got any terms about it I was never told I had a 15 day trial period then I was checking my bank balance and saw I had been charged 88.99 for a watch. First of all it was not the watch I was shown  and it was not a geneva watch. I will never fall for anything like this again!!!!!!

You bet it is!  Even the paper I got with it said the charge anbd the shipping---but nothing about the 88.99 charge you get later.  When I noticed it in my statement I called them and they said if it had been under 15 days I could return it.  To0o late.  My statement didn;t come soon enough.  I could have gotten this $10 watch at wal-mart instead of paying $95 for it.  What a rip off!

Yes. They also sold/gave my credit card number to a third party who has been calling me saying they want to send me a coupon for "free gas" to get me to join their company for a small charge each month they will send me "free" stuff. They had my credit card number and when I asked how did they get it they said from mygenevawatch. I requested to be put on their do not call list and since Jan. 1 every other day or sometimes everyday they call me 2 to 3 times a day and hang up when I answer. That number shows up as 800 service and the number is 866-491-2180. If this is happening to any one else(and it is) please file a complaint with the FCC. You can also go to callfinder.com and see all the other complaints about this number. The name of this second company is Global Marketing Strategies.

Yes, it is a scam!!!! Let's just say I have experience with scams. Mywatchcollector.com is also the same. They are both scams and the websites are definately made by the same person. They are not to be trusted. The people who left answers here who said it is not a scam are from the CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION who steals people's money for profit. The watches are worth maybe a dollar if you're lucky. ONLY buy from reputable sellers or at least who put enough effort into their website that the unsubscribe page is not just a white, blank page.
