Much faster to get prepared in the morning.
Less judgments from others based on what kind of clothes you wear.
Fixed dress code helps the students perform academically better.
Students concentrate more on their studies rather than on deciding their wardrobe.
Apart from removing distraction, uniforms compel students to take school environment more seriously.
Children tend to be misjudged and ridiculed by others due to the kind of clothes they wear. Thus, uniforms doesn’t make students different.
One of the most profound benefits of having schools uniforms is that they are highly cost effective and relieve the parents from the burden of buying fashionable and expensive clothes every now and then. Every student would be dressed the same; therefore no student would be picked on because they may be less fortunate to have the most popular brand of clothing.
Since we have to follow rules in school, this would solve the dress code issue.
Too, you wouldn't have to wonder what you're going to wear from day to day .
Wearing a uniform when you are it school is good because you have the weekends and the rest of your life to experiment with fashion and a uniform is a easy way to spend a day at school and not have to worry about how you look.
You don't need to worry what you're going to wear.
Kids don't have to impress their friends or by wearing name brand clothes. They have to get used to following a rule. Promotes good discipline. It shows school spirit.

I think they're a good idea. When I was in school there were many fights over things that people were wearing and I know of quite a few kids who were physically hurt. I also think they're a good idea because they create a sort of equality between everyone. If all students are wearing uniforms then you can't tell who is rich and who may be not so well off. That can prevent a lot of teasing and insults.

I wore a uniform all through high school. The bad part about it is that you wear the same thing every single day, which can be boring. The other thing is that you usually don't get to vote on what your uniform will look like, so if you hate it, you still have to wear it every single day.

I can think of none. Uniforms are cheaper than buying 10 pairs of designer jeans. Less jealousy between kids. Less distraction for kids. All adults wear some type of uniform in daily life. The time for individuality is during your time.

Wearing school uniform has more advantages as compared to disadvantages. However, one disadvantage could be that students start feeling bored because they have to wear same clothes for number of years. Wearing colored clothes in the colleges help the individuals to develop a dressing sense which in not developed in schools because of uniforms. When students shift from school to university or to the corporate world, they face difficulty in dressing up or adapting to the professional dressing. The personality of an individual is depicted by the clothes he/she wears which remains hidden in school uniforms. The advantage is that uniform removes disparities or status differences among the students which fosters equity and discipline in the schools.

Since I work in a school, I see that the advantage would be: Every student would be dressed the same; therefore no student would be picked on because they may be less fortunate to have the most popular brand of clothing. The disadvantage would be on a personal level; you wouldn't get to wear certain clothing to school that you really like, especially if you get something new.

Yes they are good because if you go out to a trip with your school where there are other schools going you might get lost and if you do they will know what school you belong to

  hope that helps

School uniforms can be good because you do not have to spend time selecting clothes to go to school in. However, they can be bad because they do not allow students to express individuality.

Wearing uniforms in say a jr. High, everyone is dressed the same so there is no fight about who's outfit is better. But, wearing uniforms can take away the freedom of what YOU really want to wear to school.

Well for one, it keeps the girls covered up, like they need to be. It also prevents kids from wearing types of clothing that are gang related, or the style of the clothing, it also prevents kids from using a fashion statement to make a point for whatever reason, like being a rebel of some sort. Hope this helps.

A uniform is good because you don't have to keep going out and buying clothes and you don't need to spend hours in the morning choosing what you are going to wear to school. But with a uniform you are not as different from everyone one else as you would be in Mufti. I think wearing a uniform when you are it school is good because you have the weekends and the rest of your life to experiment with fashion and a uniform is a easy way to spend a day at school and not have to worry about how you look.
