In my mother's things we have found an old watch with Rolex WD 642749 on the inside back of the case. Would this be genuine? It has a plain face with black Roman numerals with the exception of the XII which is red. H. Strong

It depends where you bought the rolex watch.. Go to the website and check it out for yourself.
How would anybody know if its genuine when we can't actually see it and you won't show us a picture or what type it is? There are loads of Rolexs.
