This has happened to mine, apparently my friend thinks its because I started playing with it once it started to heel, I found that once I relaxed my bar backwards its started to heel as the bar wasnt pressing against it. When I got my tongue pierced the fella did tell me a split would form as the bar is to big for your mouth, he also told me not to worry as it should heel.
