Now that my burn wound has finally closed up, I was wondering what a good lotion or something to put on the scar tissue in a couple of weeks? Won't have any bandage then and would like to help strengthen the scar tissue. Any good ideas?

Dear Otis, I had not heard of Sween, but they have it on Amazon.com and people are giving it five stars!
Have you used it, what is your experience?
I am asking because I have dry skin issues as I get old, always looking for something better.

Dear Rooster Cogburn,

Since the 1970's I have read that Vitamin E is good for healing, reduces scarring. So I like GatorBlu's idea of the cocoa butter with Vitamin E.

I did not realize you were burned, hope it was not a major injury. But depending on such factors, why don't you consider consulting a naturopath? They may know something really great for a wound such as yours.

My doctor told me the best thing for scars was cocoa butter with vitamin e. After trying it, I have to agree.

Vitamin E oil...you can buy it in a jar or buy the capsules and just pierce them....rub the oil into the area.

Rooster, I did use the capsules once and would just pierce them...long time, and then I thought, "Oh this stuff does not work!"

Then I happened to check my scar a couple of years later - and - could not find any scar! So maybe if you use vitamin E keep it up for a while...
