What was the best compliment you ever received?
Being called a human calculator after having solved three digit multiplication problems in my head.
And also having been known for not taking out my anger against my friends since I don't want to drive them away with my complaining. We all get just a little angry sometimes, right?
A sideways compliment.
I pulled into a Motorway Service area a few years ago to get a coffee. A pretty girl came bounding up to me to try to "sell me" a new credit card. I was driving a brand new car and wearing a £500 suit, so they were obviously targeting certain "types".
"What is your job title?"
I told her
"Where do you live"?
I told her about the three countries I was currently calling "home".
"Which of these ranges does your salary fall into?"
I pointed at the chart.
"Would you like my personal 'phone number?"
I'm guessing that it was a joke she had used a hundred times before, but it made me laugh and feel a few years younger.
My niece once told me I'm the nicest aunt she ever had because my eyes smile. I'm her only aunt , but that's my favorite compliment ever !
When I was in 10th grade, my teacher complimented me for my hand writing. And she said it looks like chain of pearls.

I've always loved writing stories, and my classmates often tell me how "amazing" my stories are or how talented I am when it comes to writing. Once, we had to submit editorials for a contest on NYTimes and everyone refused to submit one because they said I would win, even without submitting it! :D It made me feel awesome! I'd rather be complimented on my achievements than on physical appearance or something like that.
