I was always a little effeminate and now my sister wants me to wear bra, panties and other feminine things. What do you all think?

I agree with Brookelynn, if you feel comfortable about the idea of wearing feminine clothing, then why not give it a try and see how it feels? If you are curious, then there's only going to be one way to find out, and it's not like you have to make a performance out of it. You can dress up in the privacy of your own home, answerable to no-one except yourself.

It also sounds like you have encouragement from your family, which - to be honest - is unusual, but can be of great help.
How does your sister approach the subject with you? If you have a close relationship, she may have long suspected you would enjoy wearing women's clothes, although of course 'effeminate' doesn't always mean a man would enjoy cross-dressing...

Then again, if you never had the idea before she mentioned it, perhaps it means you're not much interested. Ultimately, it is down to you.

If you are concerned about whether wanting to wear feminine things makes you gay, then be aware that many straight men enjoy wearing women's clothes, and still enjoy healthy sexual relationships with women.

A Famous Case

My favorite example of a straight cross-dressing man is the cult film director, Edward D Wood Jnr, immortalized in Tim Burton's wonderful 1994 film Ed Wood. Ed was a cross-dresser, but was heterosexual and enjoyed several relationships with women.

Ed was also an army veteran and a war hero, fighting in WW2 with the US Marine Corps. When Ed took part in the Battle of Tarawa in November 1943, he wore women's underwear beneath his uniform.
