Their product line up mainly consists of Skin care and Body Products. Nivea Company began in the year 1911 as a company that would make water in oil emulsifier. Their first invention was called Eucerit; it was one of the first emulsion of its kind that was very stable in usage with no side effects.
During the 1930s the band started producing other products like shampoos, suntan lotions and shaving creams. They also introduced a couple of facial toners. The name and trademark 'NIVEA' was copied in many countries, this happened after the First World War. The company brought back all the legal trademark rights in the year 1997.
