Tungsten wedding bands are known for their durability. For guys that work with their hands (anything from mechanics to chefs) then going for a Tungsten ring may sound like a good idea.
But while Tungsten is less likely to scratch or break, that doesn't mean it is indestructible. In fact, it's durability actually means it is also very brittle. So if you hit the ring with a hammer for example, it CAN break.
But the main problem with tungsten wedding bands is that finger size can change, and gold/silver allows some leeway for that.
Tungsten wedding bands do not. So if your finger increases in girth or size as you grow older, it is possible that the ring may become uncomfortable or difficult to remove. Oh, and you can forget about soldering or adjusting it - the fact you can't scratch or break tungsten rings means that's out of the question!
