MAC strobe cream. It works miracles - stops me looking like a corpse and makes my skin look miles better than it really is - all without using foundation, which I absolutely hate the look of.
If you've got a MAC store near where you live, you can try some out from a tester before buying, and the staff can talk you through the multiple ways that you can use the product, too.
Sometimes, staff will also let you have a sample of strobe cream in a tiny pot to take home with you. That way, you can check it out properly, before committing to buying the full tube, which is quite expensive, but does last for absolutely ages.
Another favourite make-up item is cream blusher. There are loads of good ones out there, from ones that come in pots like Bobbi Brown's, to those that come in stick form, like Nars The Multiple.
My current favourite is this one, by UK skin skincare guru, Liz Earle and this is why:
- Comes in a great range of colours
- Doesn't contain any nasty chemicals
- Stays on all day
- Looks really natural.
