African American hair needs MOISTURE. Wash your hair atleast once every week. Stay away from heat directly to the hair. Heat causes the hair to become dry and brittle which causes breakage. LIMIT RELAXERS! We all know how kinky your hair can get when you need a relaxer but resist the urge. Chemicals that are used in relaxers cause the hair to become extremely brittle. When your new growth begins to grow use protective styles such as braids, sew-ins, wigs or twists. Your may get very kinky at the root but it will be more healthier when you get your relaxer and longer. Make sure you moisturize your hair while in the protective style. You have to give your hair time to reach its PH Balance that has been lost during processing. Use a line of products that has Protein and thats organic such as Aphogee. Olive Oil, Carols's Daughter etc. Take vitamins that contain Biotin. Do this and your hair will grow. My hair was shaved low in the back and short at the top. Within in 6-9months my hair grew and its now in a boob style on my neck!!!

Choice 1:    Cut hair very short. Start from scratch. Wash it everyday and keep moist. It should grow quick and long....it will be extremely healthy.

Choice 2: Get it trimmed. Wash twice a day and moisturize. Make sure you use good shampoo and good conditioner. Also make sure you have some sort of vitamin that you can eat...like Flintstones vitamins. It may seem weird but it works. Your hair is vitamins that your body pushes out through your head.

Thanks for listening.
