A normal steel or metal watch strap can be lengthened or shortened in a simple way as described below:

Simply move the spring bar along as much as you want to decrease or shorten the length of the strap. To do this, simply insert a spring bar remover into the cavity to free the spring bar and then just move the end as far as you want it and then re-insert the spring bar.

To make the bracelet or strap shorter, simply use a pair of pliers to push the link pin and then extract it. You can replace link pins with the help of a small hammer or even a press.

If the strap is too delicate or complicated, then I suggest you show it to a professional such as a jeweller who will size the watch according to your wrist.

Take the links out, get an extra hole punch in a leather or cloth strap, and wear it in a funky way, higher up your arm, if its big, or lower down your arm if its small, get a funky new strap and enjoy it.
