Licensed Cosmetologist-you cannot take a perm out of your hair. You can let it grow natural and as it grows an inch, cut a inch. The new grown you can press it or give it a blow out with protectant oils to look the same as he permed hair.

You have to cut it off. And if you cut it off you should leave it off because you don't need it. You don't have to relax or straighten your hair in order to tame it like someone commented. Chemicals is actually the worst thing black people can do to there hair. It may look nice and evrything for a while but in reality you are killing your hair and eventually your hair isn't going to be able to take the chemicals anymore. Go to youtube and look up the natural hair journey videos and you will find thousands of black woman who take care of there hair natural. My hair grows a lot faster now that I am natural. And its very easy to manage now that I stop using black products because they are full of horrible ingredients in them and started using natural oils instead.

For all those of you wondering about taming your hair know that it is possible. You would need to relax or make straight your hair. You might want to use natural relaxes as opposed to the chemical ones. If you want just a temporary option then there are temporary straighteners accessible. You could use a blow drier in this case or opt for a straightening iron.

You might want to consider relaxing your hair only around eighty percent as this will give your hair at least a little elasticity. If you opt for poker straight hair you may find that not only does it look artificial, flat and lifeless but it also becomes brittle.

Also another tip to keep in mind is that if you would like to colour your hair, do so only after you straighten it. The same rule applies if you want to perm and colour your hair as well.
