Is Lip Piercing Swelling On Inside Ok?

Yes. It's completely natural because for cryin' out loud you had a needle shoved through a very sensitive part on your body full of nerves. I had my lip pierced a month ago. Use bactine on the outside and use a clean q tip to apply it, you can also apply it to the ring itself that's on the outside of the lip. On the inside, swish with listerine total care for 1 minute after every meal and before bedtime. It also helps to swish a saline solution for 30 seconds to a minute 1-2 times a day. The flesh of my lip on the inside was covering the hoop but it didn't grow over it. It was just so swollen that it made it seem like it was sinking into my skin. Be patient people, it's normal. Although to the person with the black and blue comment, go see your piercer (which, I hope to god you had it professionally done) or your healthcare practioner asap

It depends how bad it is. Use salt water and don't touch it unless you have clean hands, eating ice helps with swelling

Its reely natural for the skin to look like its going to cover up the piercing, I thought mine was too and its just how the back of the labret lays on the skin. And pus is natural as long as it isn't green.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem. I just got mine done last night, and it does look like its embedding into my skin on the inside, I think its just the swelling though, it also left a faint circle of the disk.

If you just got your lip pierced the swelling is natural, it's supposed to swell for the first couple days or even weeks. Don't worry about it, it'll go away soon, and some bruising is also natural, but not to the extent that your whole mouth is black and blue. Just make sure you clean the ring and the area around the ring twice a day and soak it in a saline solution, that'll help with the swelling, you can also try putting some ice on ie, but DO NOT take advil, it might make your piercing bleed a lot, take some aspirin or tylenol, that'll help if theres any pain.

Yeah I'm kinda worried about my lip piercings I recently got my snakebites 3 days ago and its really swollen and looks like the tissue on the inside is going to cover up the studs disk inside and its kinda red and has pus but its not green or anything just like a creamy whiteish yellow and also is the disk inside my lip supposed to embed itself into my skin leaving its own circle HELP?????

I got my snake bites last week and I noticed it going so far into my lip my lip was exactly trying to heal over it. I couldn't reach a professional so I just changed It from the stud to a hoop

I got my lip pierced months ago, and it only swelled abit, then went down after a few days to a week. I recently got another one next to it about 3 weeks ago, so everything was fine, but it has suddenly swollen up worse than when it was pierced  :S

Is it possible to have your lip pierced so far back on the inside of your lip that you can't even switch to a hoop later?

Hi, I just pierced my lip last night and it didnt hurt at all (maybe because I'm use to pain.) but should I use a lip ring or a lip stud? And I'm allergic to fake medal so should I use the plastic kind?
