I have a few already and would like to get another big cat on my left calf. I have a tiger on my right calf and feel kind of unbalanced.

I would get a punctuation mark, perhaps a comma, about the size of a flea, flesh colored and on my back.

Ir's been clear for 6 years, now. I've gotta admit that it was more interesting than frightening. (I've always preferred to be an optimist) so it wasn't too scary.

@Didge. The positive attitude is so helpful in healing. It's amazing how far we've come in medicine.
@Otis. If I HAD to get one, it really would be my happy happy bluebird. :)

Certainly not on my butt cheeks like so many women are doing these days. I mean why de-face a perfectly good booty.

I am chicken but IF I could borrow Happy's special pen, I would have my kids names tattooed on the left boob.

There was only one time I ever got reallllly close to getting one and it was very small so I could tap out if I had to! LOL! It was a Yin and Yang symbol and I would have put it on a spot only one could see..... Because I would have had to blindfold the tattoo artist! LOLOLOLOL!

Dear Nina Varganov,

Mine is going right on my forehead for all to see, and it will say:

"Best before September 31, 2001"

That was the date of my brother's death, only 54 years old, Vietnam vet undiagnosed PTSD. Most difficult time ever.

Since I've already described my tattoos under Happy's answer, and since I don't want any more, here's a modern parable instead.

Elderly nurse talking to pretty young nurse says, "That new patient in bed #4 is a racist."

"Why?"

"He has 'wog' tattooed on his penis."

Pretty young nurse goes away for an inspection and returns. "That doesn't say 'wog' she corrected. It says 'worrying'."

Dozy I had never encountered the term 'wog'...Googling indicates it is in fact British slang...so still expanding my vocabulary with your help, really important new word here!

A very unpleasant one, Virginia. I know a woman who is so foolish that she feels that SHE is being discriminated against if she's not allowed to call somebody a wog. Racism lives in all societies.

I ran head-on into that when I worked for the Japanese when I was the one discriminated against. It was fascinating to work for what was virtually a Japanese outpost in my own country. I didn't mind that. They're a very proud race and if we ignore a few ripples (like WWII) they have every reason for that pride. I found that if you treat them with at least a modicum of respect they can be very friendly, very funny people.

Dozy I think you have the talent to bring out the best in just about anybody...and I am glad to know about WOG so that I can avoid it properly.

Seen some tv shows ´with tattoo-artists, fascinating to watch. Done some life-drawing thru the years, and I might just be good at tattoo art myself. But it would be a leap for me to actually GET a tattoo.  However I just thought of a neat design to pass along: A heart that has a question-mark for the right side of the heart itself. Of course with a dot underneath so you can see that it's a question-mark. Why these two, a heart and question-mark? Sheerly because I see the 2 forms fitting together.  Also maybe beause life has many questions and we need to face them. I would get it on my outer right calf I think. But then I'm chicken.

I have no tattoos yet but several to come.

U.S flag / Fence / a logo designed by my mother due our first names / Linkin Park's logo / there's another tattoo from my mother, a sentence from a language that my mother invented and wrote a book by it with a full dictionary of how it defines, it would be special because no one can't understand it but it has a meaning. I couldn't memorize all the words so i don't know what it means either and i don't wanna know. It feels more excited to me that way.

I didn't thought about locations yet but have ideas to put the U.S flag on my neck from behind at the full length and the fence over my hand, from elbow down to the wrist.
