Hi.  I ordered Alfaparf in 8NB and 9NB and 10 developer.  I have mostly grey with a a light brown base (natural).  Always got my hair highlighted but now need overall color to cover grey.  When I ordered I told company that I wanted a very natural blonde and they recommended mixing 8NB and 9NB with 10 dev. Which they sent me.  I am now a little afraid to color my hair.  Will it be too dark or too light?  Please help.  Thanks.

It depends on what color you natural hair is, and the color you want it to be. Rule of thumb { this only works for healthy hair} if you are coloring grey and you are wanting to lighten or darken 1 to 2 shades you use 20 volume. If you don't have grey to cover and you want to go darker, you don;t use peroxide, you use a developer for semi-perm hair. If you want to lighten your hair more than 2 or 3 shades go to a hairstylist that knows what they are doing, other wise you might end up with orange, canary yellow hair. .I've been a hair stylist for 24 years.
