I don't know. But I have a question. How  can you tell whether you have a lip piercing infection, or herpes? I went to the hospital because I woke up one morning with both of my lips puffy and itchy and red. And I just had my lip pierced a couple of weeks ago (about 2). My lips are now crusty and HUGE and they itch and hurt. Could this be an infection from the lip ring? I went to the hospital and they think it's because of my lip ring. But I'm really worried and scared because I have the same symptoms for both of them (the lip piercing infection and or maybe herpes). I've never had oral sex before or regular intercourse. So someone PLEASE help as soon as possible.

I would guess pretty much nothing as long as you weren't having a flare up at the time of your piercing and you let the piercer know about it just in case. Don't worry about them judging you or asking where you got it, they see and hear allsorts trust me! Go get your lip pierced and enjoy the experience!

I myself have had genital herpes for almost 2 years now. Once I broke up with the person I got it from, I felt like I had to navigate the waters all by myself.I have to say that www.PeopleLivingWithHerpes.com has been a blessing, its great being able to talk to other people in the same situation. I personally have found peace and happiness. If you haven’t, you will. Ignoranceand denial is not the solution. Be informed… Learn the truth… Here. Which has more than 680000 memebers according some news and it have provided many services such as chatting, blogs, test center, forum etc. I am still glad that I had the opportunity to confirm that having Herpes doesn't have to be a limitation.
